Greening the Grid: Implementing Renewable Energy Zones for Integrated Transmission and Generation Planning: The Clean Energy Solutions Center, in partnership with USAID and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), hosted this webinar on Implementing Renewable Energy Zones for Integrated Transmission and Generation Planning, as part of the recently launched GreeningTheGrid.org toolkit, a USAID and NREL collaboration designed to support countries in integrating renewable energy into the power system.
The Clean Energy Grid Integration Network (CEGIN) curates and organizes a variety of training resources on challenges, lessons learned, and best practices for integrating significant variable renewable energy to the grid. Featured trainings and a catalog of videos, webinars, presentations, and other training tools are provided.
- Energy System Basics Video Series: Learn the essential facts on energy systems in this six-part video series sponsored by the DOE SunShot Initiative.
- Variable Renewable Energy Grid Integration Training: This training—provided at the 2015 Asia Clean Energy Forum—focused on variable renewable energy grid integration, covering key issues and challenges, enabling policy solutions, and investment mobilization.
- ADB/SEAS Renewable Energy Grid Integration Workshop: Through the Clean Energy Solutions Center’s Ask an Expert service, a National Renewable Energy Laboratory expert participated in the ADB grid integration-focused workshop, providing presentations on the following topics: Integrating Variable Renewable Energy into the Grid: Sources of Flexibility, Case Studies and Best Practices, Challenges of Grid Integration: Best Practices in Conducting Grid Integration Studies and Technical Assistance Resources to Support Grid Integration Resources.
