This report describes the state of land and water resources for food production. The authors analyse threats to food security, energy security and sustainable development. They also explain how trends in population growth as well as changes in diet and climate change present a complex challenges to which agricultural practices must adapt. The authors also discussing options for managing some of the "systems at risk" to help agricultural production achieve sustainable levels of output while addressing the accompanying risks and trade-offs.
