This report describes how as global electricity demand increases, governments are designing and implementing policies to scale up and catalyze renewable energy. Drawing from international experience and lessons, the paper focuses on solar-specific good practices for renewable electricity standards, feed-in tariffs, auctions and tendering processes, interconnection and net metering, financial incentives, and other approaches to enable private finance.
