This review of 32 of the largest photovoltaic (PV) programs in the United States demonstrates that many different mechanisms to encourage system performance are being employed across the country. Advantages of each program are included, along with the best set of approaches to particular objectives and constraints. Most importantly, this review is intended to encourage the evaluation and sharing of information regarding the effectiveness and costs of these programs.
