This case study on Bangladesh's transition to a low carbon economy highlights the routes in which a low carbon economy might be achieved in this growing nation. The report reviews Bangladesh's current energy portfolio, energy use, and energy policies and presents plans for the country's energy future, which include widespread use of renewable energy, including solar, hydro, biomass, and wind power. The report also presents Bangladesh's energy efficiency goals.
