The report summarizes literature—as of the early 2000s—on carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) that was released after the publication of IPCC's Third Assessment Report in 2001. It covers all components of CCS technologies, including research and development, safety, regulations, costs, and possible policy mechanisms to support deployment.
