The Transport and Environment Reporting Mechanism (TERM) 2011 report contains a core set of indicators that will form the basis for an annual assessment of clean transportation developments over the coming decade. This indicator set, derived from the original TERM indicator set, covers environmental pressure, state, and impacts (e.g., emissions, noise nuisance, and landscape fragmentation), as well as drivers behind trends such as transport demand changes and response indicators such as vehicle fleet developments. Chapter two of the report examines these indicators in detail; chapter three takes a closer look at the developments in transport demand; chapters four, five, and six follow the 'avoid, shift, improve' methodology developed in the TERM 2009 report to examine the different measures applied to address some of the impacts; and chapter seven takes a look at the new reporting of emissions from light-duty vehicles (passenger cars and vans).
