This spreadsheet-based model can be used to estimate the delivered cost of energy for power plants, including the levelised cost of energy as well as transmission and distribution (T&D). It can be used to estimate technology costs and performance for use with capacity planning and power-sector modeling analyses or simply to estimate high-level power project costs. General users can use one of three pre-loaded configurations based on a large developed country (United States), a large developing country (India), or a middle-income country (Romania). Advanced users can access technology database sheets to change costs over time or update costs with their own data to more closely match the technology cost and performance characteristics found in their region of interest. A user guide that documents the model's assumptions is available upon request from ESMAP.
