This report analyzes challenges of storage-readiness and explores considerations associated with the planning of saline reservoir storage developments. The report concludes that because of potentially extended timescales, getting an early start on storage opportunities is essential and policymakers and carbon emitters who require storage services must appropriately address the risks.
